I am the founder of Vanuscript Consulting, a Hong Kong-based boutique independent business intelligence and investigations firm covering the Asia Pacific region with a special focus on Greater China. I have more than 20 years of experience in risk management with over a decade specializing in intelligence, investigations and due diligence.
I was previously with the global investigations practice of three US advisory firms including a role as the Director of Intelligence. Prior to that, I was an award-winning commercial crime investigative reporter specialized in white collar crimes and investment frauds, and the Regional Economist for Southeast Asia and India for a Swiss financial institution.
My passion in writing and journalism has also led me to a regular “Discreetly” column with The Standard newspaper in Hong Kong between 2011 and 2015. I also contributed regularly to the online news portal AsiaSentinel.com.
My main topics of interest include intelligence gathering, investigations, risks mitigation, corporate governance, cyber security, privacy, electronic & spy gadgets, espionage and commercial crimes/frauds/scandals which led to the name “ShhhCretly” of this blog.
I hope you enjoy my blog and look forward to your comments.
